Astoria
I made it.
After relaxing for a few days, I'll post some final thoughts on the trip and what I hope will be helpful information for anyone planning their own ride on the Transamerica Trail.
For those of you who were waiting to make a donation to the Appalachia Habitat for Humanity until you were sure that I would actually make it to Astoria, now is the time to send in your check or donate online. I'll keep the link active for a few more days.
Thanks for sharing this journey with me. Your support helped me get through the tough days.

Congratulations, Brian. You're amazing, and thanks for sharing your adventure with all of us.
Way to go Brian! I'm glad the people of Oregon put out the welcome mats for you and other cyclers after such a long journey. I took the jetski out Saturday and it died on Molly and I -- Uncle Tom and Matt came to our rescue with the sailboat. Funny that it was the only time it happened the entire weekend and probably right about the time you were hitting the Coast!
Brian, congratulations on such an awesome accomplishment and on your fantastic blog. I'll miss these updates on your adventures!
Jen
Congratulations on a huge accomplishment! Who says that lawyers can't be athletic?
HOORAY! So excited and happy for you Brian.
I'm going to have to find a new fun blog to get me through boring days at the office.
Let us know when you're back in Chicago - we'll take you out for a beer or two to celebrate.
Congratulations, Brian! I was just out on the Oregon coast a few weeks ago, and was thinking of you whenever I saw cyclists making their way up those steep, windy roads. What a beautiful place to end your trip. We hope to see you in New York again soon for a victory tour!
xoxo, Betsey
Woo-hoo! CONGRATS! I can't wait to talk to you and get all the details on this amazing journey. Another inspiring chapter in an already stellar life, Dunny.
Talk soon, brother.
Love, JBM
Yay Brian! What an amazing journey and story. Thanks for sharing it with us. Hope to see you soon back in Chicago!

In light of how many people want you to keep going, including the Gregs, you have two options as I see it... either continue to bike to Hawaii or continue the blog by giving us top lists... for example favorite states, favorite rides, least favorite rides, worst drivers, best meals, least scenic rides, the closest calls in relation to injuries, etc...
I found your blog off a link from Budget Travel's web site and have been addicted ever since Kentucky. I loved the great posts and your fantastic pictures, and I've since subscribed to Adventure Cycling magazine. Congrats on finishing the ride and good luck with whatever is next for you!

Congrats Brian. I'm one of the folks on Seaside beach who took your picture with your camera. I think the one you posted is the shot I took. Have a safe trip back home.
holy crap! i thought you had just gotten to oregon. you rode like the wind!!! thanks for entertaining me through the summer and making me feel awful for living my sedentary life. i enjoyed the words and photos immensely, and you have convinced me -- i'm serious this time -- that i want to do this ride too.
Congrats! If you make it down to alabama on your way back, let me know, and I'll buy you an iced tea!
Brian,
The prior posts have done a great job of congratulating on your ride and the super blog. I really enjoyed following your journey. You did something that many people dream about. Well done.

Have been following this blog since the beginning when Matt forwarded it to me -- like a good book that you don't want to end. Sure you don't want to turn around and ride back to entertain your fan club a little more?
Congrats,
Alice
You'd better get going if you're going to ride your bike back to Milwaukee in time for Irishfest. I enjoyed reading about your jouney and am looking forward to hearing more detail when Megan and I see you. Congratulations on completing an amazing feat.

Congratulations on finishing the Transam. Hopefully you'll have a smooth transition back to your normal life.
What a trip and accomplishment for you! Makes the century rides I've done look like nothing. Sorry we couldn't meet up when you were pedaling through Colorado. Hopefully you'll make a return trip one of these days and we'll see you then. Great job; another impressive Dunn feat.

Kudos to you. What a great ride and an even better story!!!I'll pretend that I have a half-pint of Guiness or Bulmer's in hand and raise my glass to toast your great adventure. May you have many more.
